Singles

Still spinning away on the blue bfl....almost there.  I should be plying by the beginning of next week.
All in all, I'm pretty pleased with my spinning so far this year.  I've managed to stick to my goal of 4 ounces per month, so if I keep it up at the end of the year I should have a nice selection of handspun yarn and some spinning skills.  All good.

By the way...spring is definitely here (as evidenced by the yellow haze over everything in sight)!

Sketch of the Week

I need to get back to the sketching and watercolor...so many hobbies, so little time!  Spring is springing around here...I've got a yard full of daffodils at the moment:

These are a couple of little herb bouquets from my sketchbook.  It's also the germ of an idea for a shawl design I've got in my head.  Swatch, swatch, swatch!

Spring already?

My front yard declares that spring is here.  Most definitely.  Daffodils are everywhere, forsythia are in full bloom, grape hyacinths are popping up, and the pear tree is blooming.

Better get on that seed starting thing.  Soon.
