What a week it's been!
We've done lots of celebrating around here...and not only for October House's anniversary. I had a very unexpected trip to the hospital and a short stay in ICU, thanks to a blood clot in my lungs. Can you say "big surprise!"
But, I'm on the mend, home from the hospital, and well on the road to recovery. We're celebrating lots of things now: life, health, October, yarn, autumn, knitters, nurses, sunshine, husbands...just to name a few. I'm feeling very blessed.
The little collage above is one I made of some of our most popular Instagram photos, as well as few of my own favorites. It's hard to believe that it's been 4 years that I've been working at this little biz!
Shoot, I'm ready for 24 more!

A Fiber Filled Year
2014 has been a banner year for me, for my family, and for October House Fiber Arts.
Since starting up the shop last year with a grand opening on October 24, we've:
Added a fiber club:
Started a lively and growing Ravelry Group
Hosted a Sock SAL/KAL
Hosted a Tour de Fleece team
Launched a new website
And vended at our first fiber festival!
I'm excited about the year ahead and what it holds for October House. I'm planning to increase my dyeing time (a lot) in a few months, since I'll be leaving my day job...very exciting! We're also planning to attend Rhinebeck next fall (woo hoo!) and take another spin through lovely Vermont. There'll be lots more yarn and fiber and hopefully, more knitting and spinning!
