Arkansas Fiber Arts Extravaganza
I have to fill a few of these with fluffy hand dyed fiber and yarn by September!
Because, I will be attending my first fiber festival as a vendor this September! Yes, I am excited.
I've been accepted to the Arkansas Fiber Arts Extravaganza, which is held right here in my hometown of Hot Springs.
This year's featured speaker is none other than Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, aka The Yarn Harlot! The dates are September 18-20, 2014.
Visit the Extravaganza website for more details and information.

Starting and Finishing
I've finished up a couple of projects, now the weather just needs to cooperate! I finished my Brise-Soleil Cardigan and I absolutely love it. I knit this out of Knit Picks Merino Style in Vanilla. This yarn is so soft and squishy, I can't believe how affordable it is. I know soft yarns pill, and this one most likely will, but that's okay...it's worth it for the softness!
I've also been doing some hand dyeing and working on the ol' photography and computer skills. As you can see, I still need work on those parts. The colors in the picture above are pretty close, but it's a little hazy looking. I think just finding a good "spot" and the right time of day / lighting is the clincher. So we'll roam around the yard and the house looking for "it."

Working Away
I've got a few patterns I'm trying to get done, mostly small stuff right now. Although I have LOTS of ideas for sweaters. But first things first. Some socks, fingerless mitts, and a cowl are on the way!
Excuse me...I have a lot of knitting to do.

Setting Up Shop
Well, I'm getting the shop and the blog set up. It's amazing how much time "computer stuff" eats up. I should be knitting! But time just keeps zipping along....
